Key Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with design guidelines, standards, and regulations associated with electrical engineering
- Preparation of electrical engineering design and documents ensuring accuracy, adequacy, and conformance to the design requirements
- Coordinate with other team members on various projects at the same time to achieve project milestones
- Accept technical guidance from designers, engineers, and senior staff
- Work within the project team environment from preliminary stages of the design through to completion
- Coordinate Electrical aspects of projects with other discipline designs and drawings
- Completed three years towards a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited Canadian University, or equivalent, and enrolled to complete the Degree.
- Eligible for a 16-month co-op / internship registered through your post-secondary school.
- A good understanding of building system design is considered an asset
- Experience in power system design and/or construction considered an asset
- Experience with Provincial and local Municipality design guidelines, the Ontario Building Code, and other applicable Canadian Engineering standards would be considered an asset
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD suites
- Experience with Autodesk Revit considered an asset
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Effective team member
- Commitment to ongoing professional and personal growth; willingness to learn
- Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Capable of working on and/or managing several projects at the same time
- Access to reliable transportation for travel within Ontario, primarily London and surrounding area.
This is a full-time temporary, in-office position. At SBM, we prioritize a positive work culture, believing that strong relationships with our employees lead to exceptional customer service and outstanding results for our clients.
