The Opportunity

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our agile and adaptive product development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly impacts educators, learners, and institutions worldwide. You'll be responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated test cases to ensure that every release of VidaNovaVLE meets the highest standards of quality.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans and scripts for new and existing features.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and customer success teams to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify test scenarios.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple environments.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release retrospectives within our Agile workflow.
  • Log, track, and verify defects through resolution, ensuring timely and effective fixes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, frameworks, and tools.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and collaborate on validation processes with institutional clients.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance (manual and/or automated).
  • Hands-on experience with Moodle or Moodle-based environments is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience in higher education or health sciences education is a significant asset.

Why Join Fenix Alma Solutions?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company that's transforming professional education.
  • Work with a passionate, innovative team in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Contribute to a product that is already gaining significant traction across North America's top medical schools.
  • Flexible, remote-first work culture with opportunities for professional growth and leadership.

Ready to Join the Team?

If you're excited about quality, innovation, and the opportunity to help shape the future of medical and health sciences education technology, we'd love to hear from you.
