Scope of the Role: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, youll take the lead on end-to-end product development, solving complex technical challenges through precise design execution. Develop robust, manufacturable mechanical designs for consumer products using SolidWorks. Own CAD modelling, assemblies, and surface modelling to production-ready standards. Collaborate closely with electronics, industrial design, and manufacturing teams. Apply DFM and injection moulding expertise to ensure smooth tooling release. Support prototype testing, iteration, and validation with high attention to detail.
Key Skills and Experience Required: ProvenexperienceasaMechanicalDesignEngineer,ProductDesignEngineerorMechanicalEngineerinconsumerproducts. Hands-onexperiencewithSolidWorksdesign(assemblies,surfacing,detailing). Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely aligned discipline. Advanced knowledge of injection moulding and design for manufacture principles. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with hybrid flexibility.
Salary and Benefits: £45,000 to £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience. Hybrid setup: 2 days a week, onsite in Worcester. Influence how a six-strong design team evolves as new projects launch.
