Senior Hybrid Compute and Networking Solutions Architect, AGS Specialists, Europe Central

We are looking for an experienced and motivated technology practitioner with a passion for creating strategies, best practices and solving complex customer challenges focusing on AWS Regions, AWS Outposts, AWS Local Zones, AWS Networking and Security services to accelerate infrastructure modernization and large migrations to the AWS Cloud.

As a Hybrid Edge Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to redefine how customers create, compute, and consume cloud services at scale at the edge of the network and across our regions.

In this role, you will work with customers to innovate how they migrate and deliver mission-critical applications that benefit from having cloud services much closer to the end user. You'll typically engage with ITDMs that operate datacenter infrastructure, network, security, and business applications and become their trusted partner to transform their on-premise architecture to the AWS Cloud.

As a trusted advisor with technical expertise in datacenter design, networking, virtualization, security, and cloud-native application design you will share recommendations around security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate key projects at our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Experience with design, operation, and implementation of virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM (Openstack), HyperV (Azure Stack), Xen Hypervisor, Nutanix in enterprise or corporate environments.
2. Experience with data center implementations and on-premise design patterns and converting them to cloud native.
3. Experience with cloud computing and/or related fields (IT, software, etc) including AWS services.
4. Several years experience with Linux or Unix infrastructure.
5. Strong hands-on experience in both datacenter networking and cloud native networking.
6. Ability to design different migration patterns for storage, networking and compute from on-premise to cloud.
7. Strong hands-on experience with Block, Object and/or File storage.
8. Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure (Windows infrastructure, Active Directory and SQL databases).

Desired Qualifications:

1. Experience working in a customer-facing role, creating technical content or delivering enablement sessions.
2. Experience with cloud technologies including relevant industry certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
3. Experience in DevOps, experience deploying and operating cloud native applications.
4. Technical degree (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar).
5. Progressive experience working with business development, enterprise account management, strategic partnerships, software development and/or program/product teams.
6. Experience with machine learning and deep learning software platforms.
7. MBA / MS or equivalent relevant business experience.
8. On-premise Network Certification.
9. Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must.
