*Job Summary:*
Monroe Regional Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy is currently seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice, including expertise in medical terminology, critical care, patient service, and acute pain management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced environment.
*Responsibilities:*
- Serve as the pharmacists in charge of Monroe Regional Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy (retail) and assist with the mail order pharmacy on an as needed basis.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for patients
- Conduct patient assessments and provide recommendations for medication management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in pharmacy operations
- Manage drug inventory and oversee medication storage and distribution processes
- Provide education to patients and healthcare staff on medication-related topics
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to medication safety and efficacy
- Assist in completion of MTM's.
*Experience:*
- Strong background in pharmacy practice with experience in a retail setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
*Qualifications: *
- Must have a BS or Pharm D. from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Must be licensed in the State of MS.
- Experience with 340(b) preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58.00 - $75.00 per hour
