*Role Overview*
We are seeking an experienced Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Technical Services team at KubeNet. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, delivering and supporting a broad range of technologies.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and improving our clients’ critical systems across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The role offers strong exposure to project delivery, complex troubleshooting, and technical consultancy, making it ideal for a motivated engineer eager to advance their technical career.
*Key Tasks and Responsibilities*
* Deliver escalation infrastructure support to our Managed Service clients across a range of technologies.
* Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server, Linux, and virtualisation platforms (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V).
* Support and implement LAN/WAN/Wireless solutions, including configuration of switches, routers, and firewalls.
* Proactively monitor and maintain infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and security.
* Participate in infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
* Perform backup, disaster recovery, and patch management across client environments.
* Work collaboratively with vendors and partners to resolve escalated issues.
* Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
* Participate in an on-call rota following a successful qualifying period and training.
*The Person*
Based primarily at our Glasgow HQ, this role suits a technically strong and customer-focused engineer with at least 3 years’ experience in an MSP or similar fast-paced IT
environment. You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team working on varied infrastructure environments across multiple industries.

*Personal and Technical Responsibilities*
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Infrastructure or Systems Engineer role within an MSP or multi-client environment.
* Strong understanding of Windows Server
* Experience with Linux systems
* Proven experience with virtualisation technologies – VMware, Hyper-V, and/or Proxmox.
* Knowledge of networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.
* Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
* Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid environments.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer-facing communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver exceptional service under pressure.
* A valid UK driving licence is essential.

* Operating working hours between 8:00 and 18:00, Monday-Friday.
