Radiation Therapy Technologist (RTT) – Full time opportunity
Comprehensive Hematology Oncology is seeking a full time licensed Radiation Therapist, with 3+ years experience. The RTT will provide Radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Position Summary/Overview:*
The Radiation Therapist provides Radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist in accordance with established practices and standards. Duties may include reviewing prescription and diagnosis; acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices; and maintaining records, reports, and files. May assist in dosimetry procedures and tumor localization.
*Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):*
· Administers radiation therapy as prescribed be the Radiation Oncologist.
· Verifies prescribed treatment dose before each treatment, verifies areas to be treated and angles to be used.
· Assures placement of protective devices in order to shield otherwise healthy exposed tissue of patients.
· Simulates patients using simulator, CT scanner or other devices to accurately localize treatment areas.
· Display professional conduct essential to the wellbeing of the patient.
· Maintain accurate and detailed treatment chart documents.
· Observe the clinical progress of the patient, use clinical decision-making skills to recognize and report any signs or complications.
· Adhere to radiation safety procedures and protocols.
· Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
· Performs other functions as required by management.

*Education and Experience:*
· Completion of a certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from a JRCERT accredited program _*required.*_
· Bachelor's degree from accredited four (4) year Radiation Therapy program _*preferred*_.
· Board Certification by the American Board of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is Radiation Therapy or be eligible to sit for the exam within 90-days of hire.
· Unencumbered Florida licensure issued by Florida Department of Health and Radiation Therapy Technology.
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Radiation Therapy and/or training post-graduation is _*required. *_Three (3) years of experience in Radiation Therapy is _*preferred*_.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
