*Job Summary:* As a Paramedic, you’ll provide high-quality basic and advanced life support in emergent and non-emergent settings. You'll assess, treat, and transport patients while ensuring safety, professionalism, and excellent communication.
*Qualifications:*
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* High school diploma or GED
* Paramedic Certification (Required, and must be maintained)
* CPR, ACLS, PALS (Required, and must be maintained)
* Valid driver’s license; EVOC preferred
* Strong communication and decision-making skills
* Clean background and ability to pass drug screen
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide advanced and basic life support in line with Paramedic CCT certification and clinical protocols.
* Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment including ventilators, EKGs, IV pumps, and airway devices.
* Perform complex procedures such as medication administration, infusion management, cricothyrotomy, and escharotomy.
* Lead on-scene operations, managing patient care and coordinating with team members.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatch, and receiving facilities.
* Accurately document all patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes using electronic charting systems.
* Safely operate ambulances and company vehicles, ensuring timely navigation to and from calls.
* Conduct vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and restock equipment to ensure shift readiness.
* Stay current on certifications, complete ongoing training, and follow all company protocols.
* Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate ethical behavior on every shift.
*Working Conditions:*
* Must be available to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays, extended workdays (sometimes with little or no notice).
* Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking.
* Some repetitive motion activities.
* Routinely lifting more than 300 lbs. with assistance.
* Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing and stair climbing.
* Visual identification of color-coded items.
* Clear speech and hearing.
* Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required
