The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for driving the company’s technology vision, strategy, and execution to support overall business goals. This role oversees all aspects of technology development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and innovation to ensure scalable growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. The CTO will work closely with the executive team to align technology initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership
* Develop and execute the company’s technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
* Partner with the CEO and executive team to identify and implement technology-driven business opportunities.
* Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive in innovation and digital transformation.
* Technology Management
* Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of all technical systems and digital platforms.
* Evaluate and implement new tools, platforms, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
* Ensure technology standards, best practices, and governance are maintained across departments.
* Team Leadership
* Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team with a culture of innovation and accountability.
* Establish clear goals and performance metrics for technical teams and projects.
* Foster collaboration between technology and other departments such as Product, Operations, and Sales.
* Security & Compliance
* Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
* Oversee disaster recovery planning and risk management related to technology systems.
* Budget & Resource Management
* Manage the technology budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated strategically.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings through automation, process improvements, or vendor partnerships.
* SOC2 Compliance projects.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
* 5+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 7 years in a senior management role.
* Proven experience developing and implementing scalable technology strategies.
* Strong understanding of software development, systems architecture, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in [specific industry—e.g., healthcare, fintech, SaaS] preferred.
