As part of our agile team, you'll focus on the software within of the Volkswagen Vehicle & Cloud Platform. Together, we'll shape the future of automotive technology.

You'll contribute to the development of software components in an innovative global environment, supporting all online-capable runtime environments and use cases. Your work will impact current VW Group automotive projects at our Bochum location.

  • Develop tools like plugins for the software development process within the team

  • Develop proof of concepts for new software features and tools

  • Do software analysis, extract and prepare software metrics

  • Present your results for relevant stakeholders and within the team

  • Work on a level playing field within a multidisciplinary international development team

  • Evaluate your software modules in close collaboration with the Architecture and System Teams

  • Agile Development according to the SCRUM and SAFe methodology


  • In the study in the field of computer science, security science, electrical engineering, physics, or comparable studies

  • First experience in software development

    • knowledge in C++ and Python

    • CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Jenkins, UML is a plus

  • First experience with version management tools (preferred is knowledge in Git)

  • Experience in SW development within agile framework is a plus

  • Analytic skills, teamwork and self-organized way of working

  • Good understanding of processes and structures

  • Fluent English language skills, German language skills are a plus
