Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Possess excellent network troubleshooting skills. Must be able to quickly identify and resolve network-related issues in the smallest possible time.
2. Interact clearly with the customer, understand their requirements, and communicate with the offshore team. Participate and represent the team in change and incident management meetings.
3. Troubleshoot and configure various network components including:

• SDWAN – Silver Peak preferred
• Next Gen Firewalls – Cisco Firepower preferred
• Routing loops and asymmetric routing & STP loop issues
• Cisco ASA, IPS, and ISE
• Wireless – Cisco WLC preferred
• Routing protocols – EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
• LAN switching – VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel
• Quality of service and TCP/IP protocol suite
• Application protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, etc.
• Network security – IPSec/SSL VPN/Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1x
• Cisco Catalyst & Nexus 9K/7K series of switches
• Application load balancers

Analyze outputs of all tools and make recommendations, e.g., high CPU utilization on core device at data center.

Experience:

• SilverPeak Aruba Data center Nexus: 1 year (Preferred)
• Routing and Switching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Azure Networking: 1 year (Required)
• NetScaler: 1 year (Required)
• FTD: 1 year (Required)
