Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will provide technical assistance to internal and external customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective support in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines. The work model for the role is hybrid (#LI-hybrid). This role is open globally, but its location is set in ABB offices in the APAC region. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Cooperation with Remote Expertise Center to support customers on an urgent basis and provide periodical reports and recommendations.
  2. Prioritize, classify, answer, and close support cases coming from local ABB or end customers, focusing on providing technical support regarding LV Drives.
  3. Coordinate case escalation to factories (retrieve all info and summarize case history).
  4. Participate in the 24/365 hotline for LV Drives technical support.
  5. Conduct regular technical meetings with factories to understand people and processes.
  6. Accumulate know-how by writing FAQs for common issues.
  7. Actively support the global motion support center and local ABB to gain skills and know-how, including holding presentations for ABB in the region.
  8. Collaborate with team members across the three regions within the Global Motion Support team.
  9. Provide feedback to factories on product and process issues.
  10. Create and develop a good team spirit.
  11. Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities.
  12. Report unsafe practices and incidents.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience as a service specialist or above.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Quick learner, able to recognize recurring fault patterns of LV Drives, thinking and acting systemically.
  • Technical know-how of ACS580, ACS880, ACS800 liquid cooled and/or other drive product families in the industrial market.
  • Application know-how such as winch, crane, and extruder is an advantage.
  • Know-how on digitalization of Drive and Machine and case management in Salesforce is an advantage.
