The CERN Technical Student Program is open to all technical fields like electrical or electronics engineering, applied physics, general or civil engineering, mathematics, IT and robotics, mechanical engineering, and material and surface science. The fully funded internship will cover total expenses such as accommodation, travel, visa assistance, stipend, and family allowance.

Eligibility Criteria of the CERN Technical Student Program 2025, Switzerland:
  • Applicants must be nationals of a CERN member or any associate member state.
  • Applicants must have completed at least 18 months of their studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with a specialization in an administrative field.
  • They must remain full-time enrolled students during the CERN internship program.
  • Applicants must have good knowledge of French and English, but proof of an English language test is not required.
  • Students specializing in experimental or theoretical particle physics are not eligible.
Benefits:

Interns will receive a 4 to 12-month contract to work with CERN, an allowance of 3452 Swiss Francs/month (net of tax), and additional benefits including travel allowance and health insurance.
