Job Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects within the NGO. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the organization's mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning:
    Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to enhance the organization's public image and increase awareness of our mission and programs.
    Identify key media opportunities and create strategic communication plans to support organizational goals.
    Collaborate with senior management to align PR strategies with overall organizational objectives.
  2. Project Implementation:
    Lead project implementation activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
    Coordinate project teams, including staff, volunteers, and consultants, to execute project tasks effectively.
    Monitor project progress and performance, proactively addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, including donors, partners, government agencies, and community members.
    Facilitate regular communication and engagement with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.
    Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events related to project activities.
  4. Resource Management:
    Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting in accordance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
    Coordinate procurement processes for project materials, supplies, and services, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    Optimize the use of human, financial, and material resources to maximize project impact and efficiency.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress and outcomes.
    Collect and analyze project data to assess performance against project indicators and targets.
    Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  6. Capacity Building:
    Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to project staff and partners to enhance their project management skills and competencies.
    Foster a culture of learning and innovation within project teams, encouraging continuous improvement and adaptation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field (e.g., International Development, Project Management, Public Administration).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the NGO sector. Experience in a non-profit organization or foundation is preferred.
  • Skills:
    Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
    Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural and interdisciplinary teams.

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
