Role Description

This is a contract role for a Freelance Web Designer. The designer will be responsible for shaping the look and feel of a new platform at the intersection of cycling, sports management, and esports. The role involves translating concepts for sports and esports management into sleek, engaging, and competitive designs. The designer will create a fun, performance-driven environment that motivates cyclists to engage with rankings, race series, and performance tracking.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating visually appealing and user-friendly layouts that blend sports brand aesthetics with entertainment and gaming energy.
• Designing with user engagement in mind, including competitive visuals, calls to action, and interactive elements.
• Ensuring design consistency across the platform.
• Working closely with backend and frontend developers to ensure smooth handoff and quick implementation.

This is a remote contract opportunity with the potential for long-term collaboration following an initial trial.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing for sports brands, esports platforms, or governance bodies.
• Strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern, and engaging designs.
• Proficiency in Figma (non-negotiable).
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) expected.
• Additional familiarity with Sketch, Adobe XD, Canva, Zeplin, Avocode, Principle, or InVision is a plus.
• Understanding of UX and UI principles, especially for results-driven communities, rankings, and competitions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align with a fast-paced development team.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Passion for cycling is a huge bonus.
