SOFTWARE ARCHITECT (HYBRID/ON-PREMISE) f/m



We design and market “FieldLogs”, an open Cloud, Mobile and Wearable platform used to digitise a wide set of enterprise technician-driven processes (Aviation, Oil&Gas, Asset Management, etc.). We are an SME based in Paris, France and Minneapolis, USA with mostly large international clients.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our growing FieldLogs Engineering team currently based in our Paris, France office. The team is evolving to a distributed model having work from home and remote options which is where you come in.



Your Profile

You enjoy the challenge of being exposed to different situations, cultures. You will leverage your drive, analytical intellect, professional skills to help deliver against Customer requirements.



Your Main Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our hybrid deployment model

- Help solve domain resolution and identity management needs across a public cloud vs. customer’s private clouds over backend server infrastructures and mobile solutions (iOS/Android) clients

- Help improve and maintain our high-quality security model.

- Implement the solution together with other software engineers

- Incrementally enhance our DevOps model to support our hybrid model



Your Qualifications and Skills

- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps/production engineer working on both server- and client-side solutions

- At least 2 years of experience with network protocols, HTTP/REST, TLS/SSL, load balancing etc.

- At least 2 years of experience in support of distributed systems using Linux.

- Theoretical knowledge of DNS fundamentals

- Hands-on experience implementing and/or maintaining cloud-based DNS services

- Experience working with container-based architectures: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

- Experience working with the AWS Stack and GitLab deployment tools would be a plus.
