*Summary:*
Physical therapists are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Physical therapist will evaluate each patient, develop a plan of care appropriate to the patient's needs and implement that plan of care, reassessing as needed.
*Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Cente*r serves communities throughout central, eastern, and northern Maine. We are committed to providing the highest level of care in our region and our community as well. With a staff of more than 450 physicians, we provide three-quarters of the primary-care services in the Bangor area, specialty and intensive services and is a level II trauma center. We are a host for Lifeflight of Maine, we provide outreach and support to local hospitals throughout Maine and serve as a resource for physicians, patients, and healthcare students.
