We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing medication management, patient education, and supporting various clinical services.
*Duties*
* Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
* Dispense medications accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
* Provide immunizations as required, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care in acute care settings.
* Perform compounding of medications as needed, following established guidelines.
* Oversee pharmacy technicians in daily operations and ensure adherence to best practices.
* Educate patients on medication administration, side effects, and drug interactions.
* Maintain accurate records using pharmacy software systems for inventory management and patient profiles.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Experience in a retail setting is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (Pharmacy Plus, Abacus) for efficient workflow management.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
* Must possess a valid pharmacist license in Forida.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
