The IT Business partner is responsible for addressing, prioritizing, and meeting the manufacturing technology needs of assigned facilities worldwide. They work closely with plant managers, IT delivery managers, and Global IT teams to improve customer satisfaction and enhance manufacturing efficiency. In this role, they play a crucial part in resolving critical issues and providing strategic planning, analysis, and solutions assessments to support Baxter's manufacturing functions.

What you'll be doing:
  • Partner closely with the assigned plant managers, shared service supply chain functions, and Segment business and IT management to understand the global and regional strategy and business objectives and participate in translating that into the strategy of manufacturing in the Segment.
  • Understand key financial drivers and strategic goals for the assigned plants in the Segment.
  • Create, share, and drive adoption of the “art of the possible” in how technology can be applied in different ways to help the financial position and strategic objectives of manufacturing within the Segment.
  • Ensure resources and projects are aligned to these business objectives.
  • Develop and own a plant manufacturing technology strategy and technology roadmap with alignment to the business plan and IT capabilities, constantly pursuing standardization whenever differentiation isn’t required.
  • Develop and own local manufacturing IT strategies to align with driving global software standards and local improvement needs.
  • Collaborate with executives and other leaders to define the long-term IT and application roadmap.
  • Partner closely with the business leaders and IT leadership in setting priorities, placing realistic expectations on scope delivery and project.
  • Act as an SME and teacher to other members of the manufacturing teams and IT in support of continuous improvement, customer focus, and innovation.
What you'll bring:
  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills to encourage collaborative discussions and adeptly convey solutions to customers, even in situations that may be intricate.
  • Have experience collaborating with diverse teams to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with systems investigation and root cause analysis tools.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Business Process Management, or a related field, or have an equivalent amount of work experience.
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of technical knowledge and 5+ years of IT business engagement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in a GxP environment, particularly in the Cell Therapy, BioTech, or Pharma industries, is strongly preferred.
