Role Description

The Fundraising & Development Chair leads the strategic planning and execution of fundraising initiatives to support the sustainability and growth of Girl Get Up Inc. This board member is responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners, as well as overseeing individual giving campaigns, grant opportunities, and special fundraising events. The Chair will work closely with the Executive Director and fellow board members to ensure that development efforts align with the organization's mission and long-term vision. Ideal for someone with a passion for youth empowerment, this role requires creativity, relationship-building skills, and a strong commitment to ensuring that every girl has the resources she needs to rise, lead, and thrive.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, donor management, and grant writing
  • Strong event planning and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in using fundraising software and CRM systems
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and volunteers
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
