Estimator

Estimator Job Description:

Our company is currently looking for an Estimator to join our team and help with the continued development and growth of the company. The Estimator will Monitor Addendums and prepare quantity take offs for potential projects and submit the Bid Form to potential clients before the required deadlines.

Responsibilities:

· Preparing quantity take offs for potential projects Monitor Addendums

· Prepare the 'Bid Form' & 'Contract Documents'

· Make pricing inquires for 'specialty' items

· Review and finalize quotations

· Presentation of prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical data.

· Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.

· Close consultation with the client in accordance with corporate standards

· Assist Project Managers with purchasing in accordance to allow figures used within estimates.

Requirements:

· Completion of post-secondary education with a diploma or degree related to Structural Steel Management & Detailing, Construction Management, Estimating, Construction/Architectural related education will be considered an asset.

· Required 2-5 years of experience in an estimating role in the Structural Steel or fabrication industry.

· Blueprint reading/comprehension skills (Architectural and Structural drawings) and a solid understanding of 'construction scopes'

· Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred

· Superior written and verbal communication skills are required.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills.

· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.

Pay will be based on experience (average of $25/hr)

Benefits: after 3 months' probation

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Location: Brampton, ON

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
