Job Summary

Mackenzie Village Food & Beverage is expanding winter 2025 to its second restaurant, Bella Vita in Mackenzie Village. On the heels of opening The Den, the team is opening an exciting Italian concept in the village.

Bella Vita is the place you can enjoy a classic Neopolitan style pizza or house made pasta and a glass of red wine. Great for Apres ski, date night, or celebrating a big event. It's an elevated experience, but not too stuffy.

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to be at the helm of our open and oversee daily operations in the restaurant. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Front of House Operations that demonstrates leadership and management skills. This role is responsible to ensure effective communication between front and back of house and can effectively hire, train, and develop talent. Knowledge of wine and wine service required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
  • Manage and train staff in service and customer protocols including host, service, wine, and private party protocols.
  • Create/support development of beverage menus
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Implement food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
  • Utilize systems, Toast (POS) and Margin Edge, for efficient order processing and inventory management.
  • Conduct interviews and hire new staff members to build a strong team.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Create and manage ordering of bar inventory.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.
  • Ensure alignment with Operation Manager and Ownership

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of service protocol and bar management
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems a plus
  • Background in bartending and serving in a fine dining establishment preferable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
