Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Plan and prepare menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while ensuring exceptional taste and presentation.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, knife skills, and proper food handling practices.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to create delightful meal options for special events.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional service during meal preparation and plating, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a kitchen supervisory role or similar position within the food industry.
  • Strong background in fine dining experience with a focus on menu planning and meal preparation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Experience working in catering services is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • A passion for culinary arts combined with creativity in menu development.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
