As part of the Coinbase Institutional team, you will be instrumental in developing products tailored to institutional clients, from hedge funds to individual traders. Our offerings include Custody, Commerce, and Exchange services. Whether clients require solutions in trading, financing, staking, governance, custody, or API integrations, we are dedicated to meeting their needs. What You'll Be Doing: Architect and develop robust services and frameworks that drive the settlement and transfer operations of Coinbase Prime. Provide strategic technical oversight, collaborating with management and stakeholders to outline and pursue our roadmap. Lead projects with a focus on prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and ensuring quality deliverables through your technical expertise. Mentor other engineers on best practices in design and coding, promoting a culture of excellence. Write and maintain high-quality, reliable, fault-tolerant code for large-scale systems. Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to turn technical concepts into actionable roadmaps. What We Look For: 8+ years of software engineering experience. Proven track record in developing fault-tolerant and scalable systems. Experienced in tackling ambiguous challenges with a significant impact on the organization. Expertise in systems related to ledgering, trading, or payments at scale. A deep commitment to building an inclusive financial system that serves a global audience. Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling you to influence and drive positive change. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Go and Ruby programming languages. Familiarity with on-chain interactions, particularly with Ethereum and decentralized applications (dApps). Background in financial systems, banking, or fintech. Understanding of settlement cycles like T+1 or T+2 and the roles of clearing houses and settlement agents. Experience with rapid organizational growth and scaling from small teams to larger environments. Job #: P71946 Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this role ranges from $211,650 to $249,000 USD, depending on your work location.
