Job Title: DevOps Lead Engineer (Architect Level)

Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)
Experience: 8+ years overall in DevOps, with at least 3 years in an Architect/Lead role

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead Engineer (Architect Level) to design, implement, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will lead DevOps strategy and architecture, mentor teams, and ensure robust delivery pipelines and infrastructure reliability across environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployments.
• Drive DevOps strategy, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions for all environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and SRE teams to streamline build, test, and release processes.
• Ensure security and compliance are embedded across DevOps practices (ISAC, IAM, etc.).
• Manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers and provide architectural guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure or pipeline-related issues efficiently.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance automation and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall experience in DevOps engineering and automation.
• 3+ years of experience in a Lead or Architect-level DevOps role.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Expertise in cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools - Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, etc.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Groovy, or PowerShell).
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISAC and security best practices in DevOps.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SRE principles and incident management automation.
• Exposure to AI-driven DevOps (AIOps) tools and frameworks.
• Working knowledge of release management or environment automation.
