Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. This role is instrumental in supporting employee relations, policy administration, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to team members and leadership, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely HR practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary resource for employee relations, offering guidance to team members, supervisors, and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead and conduct workplace investigations (e.g., harassment, violence, misconduct), ensuring thorough documentation, timely resolution, and professional communication of findings.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to leadership on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Support the administration of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Monitor and manage workplace accommodation in compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Human Rights Code.
  • Stay current with employment legislation and provide recommendations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Draft and maintain HR documentation, including reports, policies, and investigation summaries.
  • Champion a positive workplace culture by promoting fairness, respect, and open communication.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field.
  • CHRP designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee/labour relations and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ESA, Human Rights legislation, and workplace investigation protocols.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
