/ Contract to hire Overview: This role focuses on establishing Data-as-a-Product practices at Allied World. The VP will lead the design, delivery, and adoption of data products that align with business goals and drive data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute data product strategy, roadmap, and delivery. Implement best-in-class reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, QlikView, Cognos). Work with business stakeholders to define and prioritize data needs. Serve as Product Owner for the Data Engineering team, driving agile delivery. Ensure data quality, security, and governance across solutions. Provide leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight. Partner with security and engineering teams to align data initiatives. Requirements:
8+ years in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence (3+ in leadership). Strong experience with data visualization tools, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and cloud (AWS, Azure, Databricks). Insurance industry experience preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field. Agile Product Owner certification preferred.
