As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and skilled care to patients across various healthcare settings. *What you’ll do*
* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitoring vital signs and documenting medical histories.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Educate patients and families about health management, medications, and post-care instructions.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Support patients with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times.
* Participate in emergency response situations, utilizing critical care skills when necessary.
*Basic qualifications*
* Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
* Proficient in medical terminology and patient assessment techniques.
*Preferred qualifications*
* Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
* Background in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living environments.
* Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
* Knowledge of acute pain management techniques and palliative/hospice care practices.
