Skin cancer is the most common cancer globally, with over 1.5 million new cases in 2022 (Source: WHO). The primary cause is UV radiation from the sun, but with careful sun protection, many cases could potentially be prevented.

At sun-a-wear, we're committed to raising UV awareness. Our innovative UV Tracker helps users monitor their daily sun exposure to prevent overexposure, as well as preventing a long-term Vitamin D deficiency. Small, lightweight, waterproof, and solar-powered, the tracker doesn't need charging and can be easily attached to any clothing. The sun-a-wear UV Tracker is high-tech innovation from Zurich and loved by customers in the US and EU, making a real impact.

Join Us in Developing the Next Generation

We're in an exciting phase of developing the second version of our hardware sensor and completely overhauling the app. We need a passionate mobile developer to help us take our app to the next level.

Your Responsibilities

- Lead app development from concept, planning to deployment. Help manage the entire app lifecycle, including feature implementation, quality assurance, and operations. Improve the existing mobile app and develop new functionalities.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver the best customer experience. Suggest architecture decisions and work on UI/UX with the product management team.
- Research and understand our business and customer value to drive success.

- Available for onsite work once a week in Zurich (Office is located 1’ from Mainstation).
- Our team is located in Zurich and Washington US, hence fluency in English is a Must, fluent in German is good.
- Valid work permit for Switzerland.
- Flexible Pensum (ideally 40-60%).
- Start ideally as soon as possible.

Your Qualifications (Nice to Have)

- 2+ years of software development experience. Knowledge of mobile UI/UX design guidelines.
- Mobile app development expertise is a plus (Experience with Dart/flutter is a plus plus).
- A collaborative attitude for giving and receiving constructive feedback.
