For a project with our finance client in Zurich Sud, we are looking for an experienced Senior Kafka / Openshift Engineer 80% .

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Securing operations in the areas of Openshift and Kafka: responsible for operating and engineering Kafka and OpenShift to ensure the security of the services
• Solution analysis and documentation
• Managing the container storage (Portworks)
• Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana
• Containerisation of applications
• Batching of Kafka Cluster

Your profile:

• Many years of experience in operating OpenShift and Kafka clusters , ideally within the finance industry
• Proficiency in container storage, ideally Port works, and familiarity with image registries, ideally Quay
• Strong knowledge in Git, Argo CD, Customize, and Helm as well as monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience in automating processes and workflows using Ansible, GIT, and CI/CD
• Proven experience in a RHEL environment with good shell scripting skills
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite and knowledge of NetBackup and storage (HDS) is an advantage
• Networked and service-oriented way of thinking as well as willingness to take on cross-technological tasks
• High sense of responsibility and quality awareness as well as proactive action
• Fluent in English, German is a big plus
