Cabrillo Cardiology, a leading cardiology practice dedicated to providing exceptional cardiovascular care to our patients.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our busy cardiology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology or related fields, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves working closely with our cardiology team to provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms as needed.
- Monitor and manage patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and continuity of services.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (for NP candidates).
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for NPs.
- Previous experience in cardiology or a related field is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
