We face the very interesting and demanding task to build a new ERP environment on a green field approach and we need help to succeed. Therefore, we are building up a team of analysts:

  • to ensure close business function relationships incl. consulting of best practices
  • to implement and maintain modern and standard business processes in a cloud environment
  • to use a fully integrated ERP environment to provide efficient solutions

Job Responsibilities

Main purpose

The SAP Business processes team addresses all Corporate and Supply Chain systems and is one of the three functional pillars in GIS, the other two being Commercial Systems, and Clinical and Quality Systems. Partnering with the business to develop digitalization of SAP in the areas of Sales, Logistics and Billing. The business processes and related technologies that are within this function scope include:

  • Clinical and commercial Supply chain systems
  • Product Development systems
  • Sales and Operations Planning systems

Business Scope and Impact

Order-to-Invoice with sales order processes, logistics and billing as well as intercompany stock transfer orders including integration with regional, local partners and external service providers.

The success of this position in implementing the proper processes and systems and in maximizing their use, has a direct impact on Idorsia’s effectiveness throughout the Supply Chain with a direct impact on the overall performance of Idorsia.

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the management of business processes and systems. This includes the planning, implementation, configuration, integration, testing and management of the process and system releases:

  • Assessment of user needs through close cooperation with business functions to provide support and proactive service, including analysis of opportunities in accordance with the IT strategy and architecture
  • Focal point to communicate system related problems in collaboration with IT teams and software vendor on changes, fixes and updates
  • Ongoing troubleshooting, user support, and maintenance of the systems to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Management of the system release process including vendor management, coordination of validation activities with development and execution of testing
  • Coordination and provision of end user training
  • Creation of system related QS documentation (SOPs, WISs, etc) in compliance with relevant policies and standards
  • Guarantee compliance to CSV requirements (if relevant), IT Policies and Standards
  • Configuration or development of new system functionalities based on validated user requirements
  • Strong understanding of business requirements and technology to support business objectives
  • Development of System Strategy Plans
  • Development of training documentation and eLearning modules
  • Project management for small business initiatives

Candidate’s Requirements

  • Minimum of University Degree – (Computer Science, Information Systems, preferred)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably with 4 years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales business area with planning and managing IT systems
  • At least 3 years of process and configuration experience in SAP S4 in the SD module, MM and LE is a plus
  • Good understanding of global trade compliance aspects and impacts throughout the Supply Chain and respective master data requirements
  • Experience in providing end user training
  • Experience in development of training documentation and eLearning modules
  • Strong knowledge in system management and administration
  • Experience in managing software as a service (SaaS)
  • Strong communication skills, able to understand problems and present solutions towards business partners
  • Project Management skills to lead process change initiatives within SAP S4
  • Good analytical skills with ability for business partnering to understand business requirements and transform into IT solutions
  • Independent, and hands-on working style, team player, highly self-motivated, proactive and change oriented
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), French and/or German is a plus.
