We welcome diverse candidates and believe that a broad range of cultural and life experiences contribute to the overall well-being and success of the studio and the titles we craft together.What you will do:Develop and implement new and existing rendering techniques to achieve stunning, industry-defining visualsCollaborate with artists and technical artists to conceptualize and implement new features, as well as improve asset creation and rendering workflowsMaintain and troubleshoot existing rendering engine features to ensure stability and performanceProfile and optimize the rendering engine to achieve better performance and efficient memory usageStay current with advancements in the rendering field and incorporate relevant technologies and techniques into the engineAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as neededWhat skills you will use:Master's degree in Engineering/Computer Graphics & Game TechnologyMust have the following knowledge/skills -Strong mathematical skills with an emphasis on 3D math (geometry/linear algebra/trigonometry)Strong knowledge of C/ C++ programming languagesExperience with HLSL/GLSL or other equivalent shader languagesProfessional experience implementing rendering featuresGraphics debugging and profiling skillsIn lieu of a masters' degree in engineering/Computer Graphics & Game Technology, or in a related field, a Bachelor's degree in engineering/Computer Graphics & Game Technology, or in a related field, plus five (5) years of experience in job offered, or as a Game Programmer, or a related occupation are acceptable.Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location, as well as additional compensation components, such as annual bonus, profit sharing, and other incentive plans.
