The Client:
Our client is one of the largest Google Cloud only Digital Consultancies in Europe. They are looking for bright and ambitious Google Cloud professionals to join them in delivering the most ambitious Google Cloud Projects across AI, Security, Martech, Data & Workspace. They are a purpose driven, certified B Corp, who strive to be great to work with and for. They benefit from a strong client base, including some fantastic household names. With offices across Europe, they offer the opportunity to join a team of highly talented, and down to earth presence, across the UK, Germany, Belgium & Romania.

The Candidate:
This role would suit a GCP biased Cloud Data Analyst. We are looking for a candidate who is well versed in Google Looker Enterprise, and unfortunately cannot consider candidates without this, or with only Google Studio experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with client facing experience. Significant experience in a Data Analytics role is essential, which will include strong data processing experience and understanding of developing against common database technologies (such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.). An understanding of developing visualisations and reports using BI solutions (such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) is also required.

Please note that our client is unable to offer sponsorship at this time.

The Role:
As a Cloud Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of cloud technology using your skills in a varied and evolving consulting role. You will solve complex customer-facing challenges, helping diverse organisations to create and modernise data analytics platforms as they move to the cloud. Your role will require you to analyse and define requirements, and then manage the end-to-end execution process. You will also be liaising with multiple stakeholders, on a daily basis, to ensure the timely delivery of appropriate outputs, in accordance with each of the project plans and deadlines. Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and software is a given and you will be expected to investigate the use of new technologies as they become available. You will understand the value of their long standing relationship with Google, and help to grow and promote the data analytics capabilities within their teams.

Duties:

  1. Gain a deep understanding of the Looker BI Suite and Big Query, as well as surrounding GCP concepts such as IAM roles, Logging and Monitoring.
  2. Understand customer business requirements and advise the best way to fulfil these with the data and tools available.
  3. Investigate data necessary to achieve desired business outcomes.
  4. Concisely and thoroughly document processes relating to customer data requirements.
  5. Provide training and pair-programming sessions for clients to upskill them in using Looker and associated GCP services.
  6. Develop internal tooling, and improve processes, for the wider data analytics team and business.
  7. As part of your continuing professional development, gain relevant certifications and skills badges as required by the role.
  8. They are proud of their B Corp status, and ask that you are proactive in their drive towards social progress and positive impacts.
  9. Significant professional experience working in a Data Analytics role, ideally in a customer facing consultancy role.
  10. Professional experience working with Looker Enterprise.
  11. Strong data processing experience and understanding of developing against common database technologies (such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  12. Comprehensive problem-solving skills and proven ability to apply creative and innovative thinking, identify and support the resolution of data quality and integrity issues.
  13. Understanding of developing visualisations and reports using BI solutions (such as Looker, Google Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
  14. Confident in presenting findings in an effective, structured and actionable way to a wide set of audiences with varying levels of understanding.
  15. Excellent planning, prioritisation, organisational and time management skills, being able to work both as part of a team and independently.
  16. Ability to meet regular and ad hoc deadlines, working under project plans and deadlines.
  17. Exposure to data modelling / data science methodologies is a bonus.
  18. Prior experience working in a customer-facing role.
