Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and developing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (based on credentialing) Guiding patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of authority Engaging in patient follow-up and ongoing chronic care management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, unified patient care Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in New Mexico National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Skills That Will Shine
