2+ years of copywriting experience
Degree in journalism, advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field
Previous agency experience is preferred
As a Copywriter at our digital marketing agency, you’ll play a vital role in bringing our clients’ brands to life through exceptional content. At Marketwake we believe that great copy should evoke emotions, inspire action, and drive results. As part of the creative team, you will collaborate with other departments to create content that engages and converts.
Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker who can write clear, concise, and compelling copy that resonates with our clients’ target audiences. You should have a keen understanding of SEO best practices, a flair for storytelling, and the ability to craft messages that connect with readers on an emotional level. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation : Write copy for various marketing channels that includes long‑form content such as blog posts, pillar pages, and ebooks; and short‑form content for landing pages, social media, email campaigns, ads, and more.
Editing and QA : Proofread and edit your own work to ensure it is error‑free and meets the highest standards of quality. Adhere to the brand guidelines of your clients and create copy that is consistent with their brand voice and messaging.
Research & Ideation : Conduct research to inform your writing, including researching client products and services, target audiences, industry trends, and more. Stay current with industry trends to help improve our process and recognize opportunities for our clients.
Optimize for SEO : Optimize copy for search engines by incorporating keywords and following SEO best practices. Work closely with the SEO team to understand strategy, changes, and standards as it pertains to writing optimized copy.
Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with cross‑functional teams such as designers, SEO strategists, and account managers to ensure that copy aligns with overall marketing objectives and meets tight deadlines.
SKILLS
Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write clear, concise, and compelling copy that engages readers and drives action.
A mastery of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Knowledge of SEO best practices.
Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from a variety of sources to write accurate, informative, and persuasive copy.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to proofread and edit your own work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Creative thinking and approaches to writing copy to engage readers and drive results.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of copywriting experience.
Degree in journalism, advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Previous agency experience is preferred.
