Responsibilities
Write copy for the organization’s evolving needs as assigned by the Content Director, including email content, direct mail pieces, internal and external reports, website copy, social media posts, press releases, print articles, scripts, marketing material, and other collateral.
Edit and proofread content generated within and tasked to the Communications Division.
Ensure all assigned copy adheres closely to brand and voice style guidelines.
Work with the Content Team to update brand and voice guidelines when necessary.
Serve as desk reporter, conducting interviews as needed.
Create marketing assets for use by the organization and other departments.
Liaise with clients on projects as needed.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts in English, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Two or more years of demonstrated experience in written communication for print, video, and/or broadcast.
Proven record of direct response writing skills preferred.
Ability to work on tight deadlines.
Proven ability to edit for consistency, accuracy, and competency.
Multi‑task and highly organized ability; can prioritize projects.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.
Active participation in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities.
Advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities.
Represent Convoy of Hope positively, including mission and core values, to all outside constituencies.
Embrace and demonstrate the organization’s religious purposes and Statement of Faith in everyday life.
