Position OverviewThe Sales Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the DLD sales team, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring profitability. This position requires strategic leadership, hands-on collaboration, and strong market awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and hold accountable (LMA) the DLD Sales team
- Achieve revenue growth and meet/exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Identify emerging markets, industry trends, and competitive shifts
- Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives
- Present accurate and timely sales funnel updates to leadership
- Report sales performance weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Identify and develop key accounts; participate in account-level sales meetings
- Increase profit margins while expanding market share
- Lead weekly sales meetings
- Assign and balance new accounts across the sales team
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives on quoting and proposal development
- Manage sales accounts receivable to meet company goals
- Partner with operations to ensure delivery efficiency and order accuracy
- Strong business acumen and industry expertise
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
- Deep understanding of profit margins and commodity-based products
- Knowledge of seasonal business cycles
- Experience with purchasing
- Construction and/or home building experience preferred
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Results-driven mindset
