Description Purpose:
Tests and conducts routine and non‑routine analysis of raw materials, in‑process, and finished product using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.
Responsibilities:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process; compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability; performs analytical tests on samples using instrumentation and equipment and conducts calculations to measure factors; verifies product factors; collects and records results of sampling and testing; measures and weighs samples of materials; assists in implementing a total quality management program and trains others; participates as a member of the team, contributing to development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices; attends team meetings; fosters cohesiveness on major issues; identifies and resolves areas lacking cohesiveness; performs additional duties as necessary to support business objectives.
Physical Requirements:
Standing on feet for the entire shift, bending at the waist, using both hands, walking, lifting up to 55 lbs.; must be able to tolerate temperatures above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees at any given time; work environment wet, cold, and at times slippery surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Hair net(s), hearing protection, gloves, apron, sleeve guards (if required), mesh gloves (if using knife or scissors), and smock.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Must be able to pass company‑issued Quality Assurance test.
