Required qualifications include 2-4 years of operational experience with retail or wholesale industry, proven leadership, coaching/mentoring and team-oriented mindset along with effective delegation of duties, demonstrated ability to grow sales in a retail environment, experience analyzing and using customer, market or competitor data to make informed decisions, ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and employees, experience leading a team of employees towards achieving company goals, computer literacy with proficiency with MS office applications, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task on different levels. Preferred qualifications include experience within the HVAC industry with proficiency in air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at the distribution level, experience working with contractors, prior leadership roles with P&L responsibility, proven success in sales, operations, purchasing, and warehouse/inventory management, and mechanical or technical background. Duties and responsibilities include monitoring inventory stock levels and merchandising of showroom, managing inventory to ensure minimal loss throughout the year, recruiting, hiring, training and developing new associates in compliance with labor laws and company policy, managing workforce including warehouse, shipping/receiving, delivery, fleet drivers, showroom, counter sales and sales personnel, promoting safety awareness ensuring associates are employing safe practices at all times, effectively managing the branch P&L, holding self and others accountable for delivering exceptional customer experience while addressing customer needs and concerns in a timely manner, analyzing and measuring business trends, while working with local sales personnel and regional leadership to develop strategies for increased store traffic, conducting him/herself in a professional and courteous manner in all aspects of interaction with contractors, customers, vendors and employees, coordinating sales center training and company/center events, and performing other duties as assigned.
