New Home Consultant Summary: The
New Home Consultant's
primary focus is to administer/coordinate the new home purchase process and close of escrow with the ultimate goal of creating “tickled, delighted and happy” customers. In this role you will sell, process, and close homes in accordance with company business plans, adhering to the company’s selling philosophy when serving our home buying & realtor customers, and utilizing all selling/organizational tools provided. This includes accompanying them through the Welcome Home Centers, undecorated models (which may be at various stages of construction), and/or available homesites.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide timely & consistent follow‑through with current customers from initial contact to after closing.
Travel throughout the local community to self‑generate sales from realtor/co‑broker businesses, referrals, & self‑prospecting.
Develop in‑depth knowledge of the competitive marketplace (including product, site, local community, sales, advertising, & demographics).
Monitor and record daily customer traffic, utilizing company‑designated tracking tools.
Participate in homeowner orientation(s) required by the division, and where appropriate, work with customers on their builder option purchases.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma/GED (some college preferred)
Must have 2+ years recent face‑to‑face sales & customer service experience
Experience with new home sales or commission‑based real estate is a plus!
Must have a valid driver’s license & insurance coverage with good driving record
Must be available to work weekends & holidays as needed
Ability to prepare written documentation & complete contract calculations
Must have computer literacy/proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel
Must have working knowledge of new technology such as iPads
Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills
