Citibank is seeking an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Irving, TX location.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
Develop testing programs addressing database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and usability.
Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem‑free operations.
Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
Review software documentation for technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, and mitigate risks.
Perform initial debugging by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code to determine the source of breakdown.
Install and configure recreations of software production environments to test software performance.
Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
Coordinate user or third‑party testing.
Conduct historical analyses of test results.
Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
Perform tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, application development, model development, and establish or revise application systems to meet specific business needs.
Monitor and control all phases of development, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, and provide user and operational support to business users.
Analyze complex problems using in‑depth knowledge of application development, evaluate business and system processes, and make evaluative judgment.
Recommend and develop security measures in post‑implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems.
Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation performing coding and debugging applications.
Five (5) years of experience must include: monitoring and controlling various phases of development processes, analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation of the application using the JIRA Agile Board; implementing Microservice Architecture with JAVA Spring Boot to streamline multiple services and optimize communication using Kafka; performing setup of the Jenkins server and building pipelines for continuous automated builds based on the GIT source control system; and recommending security measures in post‑implementation analysis using JWT and other mechanisms.
In the alternative, a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience, or pre‑ or post‑Master’s degree experience, will be accepted.
40 hours per week.
Compensation Wage Range: $131,000 to $153,000.
Location Primary Location: Irving, Texas, United States.
