The Technical Inside Support Specialist provides technical and administrative support to the sales team by assisting with equipment selection, estimating, quotations, project coordination, and customer service. This role serves as a key resource for Outside Sales Engineers, contractors, engineers, and manufacturers throughout the sales and project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years' experience working in HVAC Sales, is technically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to develop expertise in commercial HVAC systems and products. Hands-on training will be provided. This is a salary based role with monthly bonuses. Key Responsibilities
Review construction plans, specifications, and schedules to identify project requirements and support equipment selection Prepare accurate estimates and quotations using manufacturer selection and pricing software Provide technical support to Outside Sales Engineers, contractors, consulting engineers, and customers Assist with product application, equipment selections, and interpretation of manufacturer specifications Coordinate post-sale activities including order entry, submittals, equipment tracking, job booking, and project documentation Communicate with manufacturers regarding pricing, lead times, product availability, and technical information Track project progress and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders Support bid management activities, including maintaining bid lists, managing addenda, and submitting prior approval requests Maintain organized project files and accurate records throughout the project lifecycle Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule Develop expertise in HVAC products, systems, and applications to become a trusted technical resource Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Systems, or equivalent experience of 1-3 years in HVAC sales Previous experience in estimating, inside sales, project coordination, engineering support, or the commercial HVAC industry preferred Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical systems and construction documents Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn manufacturer-specific software platforms Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
