What You Get To Do The primary function of the Inside Sales Specialist is to support Outside Sales / Account Executives in their efforts to sell Knapp solutions to new and existing customers in their assigned markets.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Support Outside Sales to sell Knapp systems to new and existing customers
Work collaboratively with assigned Knapp resources (engineering, purchasing, service, and Knapp parent company, subsidiaries and affiliates) to develop systems that meet customer needs and budgets
Produce detailed proposals describing Knapp’s designed system
Produce cost estimates for management approval
Provide support to create and give effective, accurate, and technically correct customer presentations
Comply with the most current version of the Knapp Inc. Sales Process
What You Have
BS/BA degree with minimum 4 years’ sales experience
Technical background in material handling, logistics, supply chain, or order fulfillment preferred
Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management technology
Knowledge/proficiency of SAP
Ability to think creatively, plan, organize, set goals, and execute strategically
Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills
Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and internal/external networking skills
Entrepreneurial self-starter with hands‑on approach
Working Conditions and Environment
Over time, as required by work
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Passport or ability to obtain a passport
Domestic and international travel required (5‑10%)
Physical requirements: sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 25 pounds
