Job Overview Sales Account Executive – St. Cloud, Minnesota (Lamar office) Help bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands throughout St. Cloud, MN and surrounding areas. You will serve as the connection between Lamar and the local community, building long‑term advertising relationships. Compensation & Schedule First‑year earning potential $50,000 – $75,000 base + commission, with no cap Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm schedule with paid holidays Monthly auto and cell allowances Benefits Medical plan options and health savings account Hospital, critical illness, and accident coverage Dental and vision insurance Short‑ and long‑term disability and paid parental leave 120 hours paid time off, increasing with tenure 12 paid company holidays, including Presidents Day and Juneteenth Employee stock purchase plan 401(k) plan with company match Wellness program incentives, including medical plan premium holidays and HSA contributions Ongoing professional development and internal leadership programs Advancement opportunities – promotion to Sales Manager from within Job Responsibilities Meet and exceed assigned sales targets; monitor personal sales data and reports Target businesses in the assigned area, visit established Lamar clients and competitor clients Maintain knowledge of local and national competition Cluster accounts for efficient work Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts Use Lamar tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals and written presentations Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly Attend sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows Perform administrative duties, including maintaining sales plans, following up on client production orders, and keeping organized records of clients and sales activity Qualifications Comfortable making cold calls and in‑person visits Ability to make oral presentations and articulate policies and procedures Alignment with value of inclusivity; effective communication with diverse backgrounds Motivation to learn new technology and systems Strong time‑management and self‑organization skills Willingness to immerse yourself in the outdoor advertising industry Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform effectively under fluctuating workloads Skill in building connections and gaining trust of others Ability to meet sales quota and utilize general sales techniques Intrinsic self‑motivation to overcome challenges and meet goals Resilience in response to rejection Valid driver’s license College degree preferred Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite CRM experience preferred Physical Demands & Work Environment Combination of office and field sales calls; light lifting Requires sight, color distinction, and excellent visual acuity Less than 50% sitting; standing, talking, turning, walking Nights away from home traveling less than 10% EEO Statement Lamar is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer including Individuals with Disabilities, Protected Veterans and any other state or federally protected characteristic.
