The Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG) Technology team is a small, growing team in Enterprise Services with a 'Start Up' feel. We are seeking an upbeat, hardworking Senior QA Engineer who is passionate about cutting edge technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
You will be joining a team of engineers focused on engineering testing solutions for the Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG) product area. You will apply your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Fidelity investments software solutions. You will also be supporting your team in adopting best practices to ensure we are building the right product and we are building it right. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Senior QA Engineer
The Role
We are seeking an upbeat, hardworking Senior QA Engineer who is passionate about cutting edge technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
You will be joining a team of engineers focused on engineering testing solutions for the Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG) product area. You will apply your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Fidelity investments software solutions. You will also be supporting your team in adopting best practices to ensure we are building the right product and we are building it right. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. The Expertise and Skills You Bring
10 plus years experience with a Bachelor's or 6 plus years experience with a Master's degree in Computer Science (or closely related field) Experience in designing and implementing robust QA strategies and test frameworks for API, Web with deep expertise in end-to-end validation Experience in test automation (Playwright/Cypress, Rest Assured, JUnit, Test NG, Maven, ETL Batch) Experience with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins Core, LWC, Monorepo, etc.) Experience with source control (GitHub, Stash (Bitbucket), Sourcetree) Cloud experience preferred - Amazon Web Services (AWS) Top skills needed: Front end, Playwright, Xray, chaos, Splunk, Datadog, node.js, Java, Java Script, Jenkins core Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting automation test platforms Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting and implementing development pipelines (CI / CD) Good understanding of accessibility features and building and testing accessible experiences on Web Focus on the deployment automation and orchestration Assist with code branches, merges, builds pipelines, manage versioning etc. Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health Good understanding on write SQL queries and implementing the data seeding for automation. Good to have AWS certification and experience
The Team
You will be a member of the Fidelity Insurance Group. Your main focus will be supporting the platform health, growth, scale and modernization efforts of the platform, application and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Group (FIA). In this role you will partner with a variety of key team members including other teams withing the Platform Area, Wealth Digital Experience, FIA, and Brokerage partners. You will be responsible for automated testing, performance testing, chaos testing, application cloud migration and management, CI / CD implementation, security testing, and application development.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
