Here at Piedmont Heart Institute, we are looking for a BC/BE Cardiac Intensivist - Nocturnist (with significant cardiac experience) for our Piedmont Atlanta Hospital location. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients.
Job Requirements:
- BC MD or DO
- Active license in GA or eligible to obtain
- PREFERRED: 3 - 5 years' experience in Cardiac Critical Care role
- This opportunity would be a good fit for a physician interested in minimal cardiac surgery, ECMO/MCS, cardiac surgery anesthesia, and post-op care. Additionally, applicants should have a strong interest in Mechanical Circulatory Support / ECMO.
In 2023 by volume, Piedmont Heart was 7 th in the country for heart transplants and top 5 program for ECMO runs and LVAD implantations. In addition to supporting a 42-bed CVICU and 22-bed CCU, our cardiac intensivist group also runs a remote ECMO cannulation program. This program allows us to support hospitals in the greater Atlanta area by giving them access to expert ECMO services. Piedmont Atlanta Hospital s Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) program is the first in the nation to earn ECLS Program Certification from DNV GL Healthcare.
