divh2Medical Assistant/h2pLocation: 8635 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048 Float Location: 1192 Hilhurst Ave, Los Feliz, CA 90027 Shift: 8 hours between 0500-1800/ppExperience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Coplo, Leep, DC, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST/ppRequired Qualifications:/pulliHSD/GED/liliBLS (AHA or ARC)/liliFlu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations)/liliMedical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program/liliExperience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans/liliDemonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries/lili2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting/lili1 year of OBGYN setting experience/liliProficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulli2+ years working as an MA in outpatient OBGYN/liliExperience with CS-Link/Epic/liliExperience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions/liliPhlebotomy certification/liliUnderstanding of medical terminology/li/ulpJob Duties:/pulliGreet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record/liliAssist with tracking and monitoring department specific data/liliExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice/liliSet up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs/liliClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines/liliAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider/liliDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider/li/ulpNOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
