This role is based in our Santa Monica office and follows an onsite work schedule of 4 days per week. Work arrangements may change at the company's discretion to meet business needs.
Your Mission is:
The Analytics Insights team is seeking a talented Intermediate Data Analyst to work directly with our studios and Call of Duty (COD) Live Services Team. As part of the Insights team, your mission will be to drive data-driven decision-making. You'll collaborate with designers, engineers, business stakeholders, Activision leadership, and analytics peers to derive meaningful insights that enhance gameplay design and guide commercial strategies. Partner with our Live Services business unit to optimize game features to aid in driving player engagement and monetization.
Responsibilities:
* Support data-driven approaches to our anti-cheat efforts by building comprehensive reporting tools and delivering analyses to support this initiative.
* Partner with the Live Services Team to optimize in-game features, balance game economies, and identify new ways to boost player engagement.
* Collaborate with studios to analyze core game systems, implementing gameplay analytics that align with the development goals of designers and engineers.
* Support and drive analytics initiatives within a cross-functional team to inform design and implementation decisions, both current and future.
* Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into actionable insights.
What You Bring to the Team:
You're a motivated data expert eager to expand your analytics toolkit in a fast-paced environment, focused on delivering high-impact insights to stakeholders, and driven by a passion for video games. Success in this role is reflected in:

* Effective Communication: Managing your time and stakeholder expectations with clear, concise updates and insights.
* Insight Translation: Delivering precise, actionable insights that drive decisions and improvements.
* Domain Knowledge: Understanding the player mindset to derive and communicate insights that shape design and engagement strategies.
Player Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., data analytics, data science, statistics, economics, or mathematics).
* 3+ years of experience with SQL and R/Python for data analysis and visualization.
* A passion for storytelling through data, turning complex datasets into compelling narratives.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships and expectations.
* Experience in gameplay analysis or knowledge of user engagement and monetization strategies in gaming, entertainment, e-commerce, or mobile apps is a plus.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $34.28 - $63.42 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
