We are looking for a contract Copywriter to work for a client on-site in Austin, TX. This is 40 hours/week for 3 months. This role is required to be on location in the office Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Fridays.
The Copywriter will report to the Creative Director in Austin, TX and will be responsible for playing a critical role in the strategy, ideation, and copywriting of the client's creative work. We are looking for a creative that uses conceptual, high-level thinking to craft compelling and well-written work that expands across all marketing channels. The ideal candidate will be able to operate solo and while paired with an Art Director.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of client's branding, marketing, and advertising initiatives
* Brainstorm, concept, collaborate, comp, and present innovative creative marketing and advertising work that garners buy-in while netting measurable results
* Create strategic marketing assets for projects including, but not limited to: product packaging, digital marketing (email, web banners, digital experiences, social assets, etc.), retail displays, internal sales communication, video content
* Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts
* Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus with the team
* Be a steward of and maintain the Client's Brand in all creative created in-house
* Mus be a team player, able to work within budgets and tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications and Attributes:
* Bachelor's degree required
* At least 2 years of experience in an advertising or in-house copywriting role
* Experience with consumer product brands is preferred
* Experience in digital marketing/advertising
* You can quickly grasp, and bring to life the brand voice
* Strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems, even when they are not fully defined
* Ability to present and sell creative ideas
* A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
* Excellent time management and organizational skills including accuracy and attention to detail
* You know how to deliver the best idea and understand the nuances of each platform
* Optimistic, energetic, and possesses the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
* Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* This job requires relocation to Austin, TX
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $45-$50 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
